The Indiana eCWS (electronic Citation and Warning System) can be customized using the Auri Group's TAG Cite, a service designed to adapt eCWS for each agency. In developing eCWS, TAG combined officer, prosecutor, court and county clerk input to build a system that exactly meets their needs. The result: field stop time has been cut by two-thirds, officers are safer, redundancy and data entry errors have been dramatically reduced and the law can be enforced more efficiently and cost effectively. The system offers modules for use on PCs or laptops, handheld devices, Web-based central administration and prosecutor functions. It utilizes Microsoft's latest .Net and database technologies. Utilizing TAG Cite and eCWS can increase the efficiency of the ticket writing process for all parties involved. Because eCWS development was funded with grant money, the system and its source code are made available to other governmental entities for free. From officer-to-clerk-to-court, eCWS efficiently handles traffic citations in one revolutionary package.
